In this all new tour, experience the LIght Station at a time when hundreds of sailors looked to the light in desperation. November 1913 was the largest storm recorded Great Lakes history, centered around lower Lake Huron. Hear stories of survival, loss, disaster and how the Lighthouse pulled through the center of this incredible tempest. From the origins of the so called White Hurricane to the aftermath, how did this storm forever change shipping on the Great Lakes? What ships were lost? How did anyone survive?
Just as the sailors went out in any condition, this walking tour will head out in whatever November has to throw at us. The tour will conclude in the Museum store, which will have hot chocolate and special sales.
