Join us at the Fort Gratiot Light Station for an Overnight at the Light with special programming specifically for Scouts BSA youth! In addition to spending the night in the Keeper’s Duplex, Scouts will earn their Genealogy Merit Badge. In the morning they will hike along the breathtaking St. Clair River to the Thomas Edison Depot Museum and Huron Lightship, where they will have a chance to explore two more of Port Huron’s fabulous museums.
Scouts will check-in at the Fort Gratiot Light Station at 6:45pm on the 14th and will be picked up at the Huron Lightship the next day at 1:00pm. An evening snack, breakfast, and lunch will be provided.
This unique and exciting opportunity to stay at Michigan’s oldest lighthouse is open to all registered Scouts BSA youth, ages 12-18.
Special thanks to the Blue Water District of the Michigan Crossroads Council for partnering with us on this exciting event!
