Built in 1904, our Carnegie building is celebrating 121 years!
Did you know that Michigan benefitted significantly from Andrew Carnegie’s library initiative? 61 buildings were constructed in the state of Michigan alone, and we are fortunate to have one! Originally a library until May 3, 1968, when it became the Port Huron Museum – now just one of our four sites.
Join us for an open house style celebration, from 12-3 p.m., where guests are welcome to partake in some special make-and-take crafts for all ages, and a sweet treat to celebrate 120 years of being a known institution in the community.
This event is free for members and just $5 for general public.
Please RSVP so we have an estimated number for supply purposes!
*Can’t make it out before 3? Check out our new Past of Port Huron Trolley Tour as a special complementary program at 4 p.m.
