To learn more about the Paul R. Tregurtha," please
visit Great
Lakes Fleet Page Vessel Feature at Boatnerd.com.
- The trip may begin at a Detroit River, or St.
Clair River port. The exact departure port will be determined at a later
date.
- Because these are commercial vessels, the
actual arrival and departure location, dates and times may vary.
- As a commercial fleet, the vessel boarding
procedure is via a 45 foot "Fireman Type" ladder. The ability to
negotiate this ladder is mandatory.
- Because of customer demand, trips do not end
in the same port as they begin. We will try to keep this to a minimum, but
cannot guarantee the loading port or unloading port will remain definite.
Should this occur, we will assist with return travel arrangements, but
cannot compensate passengers for additional travel expenses.
- You must keep your schedule very flexible.
- The length of the voyage will be approximately
four to six days.
- A typical voyage may begin in Detroit,
Michigan, proceed up the Detroit River and St. Clair River, across Lake
Huron, through the St. Mary's River and Sault Ste. Marie locks, across the
largest of the Great Lakes, Lake Superior, and finally to Marquette,
Michigan. At port, the ship will load its cargo for the return passage.
- The trip is for two couples (4 people maximum)
ages 18 and over in good health.
- The trip is only for the 2004 season only and
may be taken between the months of June and September. Every effort will be
made to accommodate the passenger's desired date for the trip, but no guarantees
can be made.
- Passengers will be served meals in the Officers'
dining room. All food and beverages are included.
- The uniform of the day is "casual."
- With permission of the ship's Captain,
passengers will be shown all areas of the vessel.
