Port Huron Museum Announces opening of new
exhibit:
“BSA 2010 :
Celebrating
100 Years of Scouting”
In
collaboration with the Blue Water Council of
the Boy Scouts of America, the Port Huron
Museum will open the BSA 2010:
Celebrating 100 Years of Scouting
exhibit on February 6, 2010, at the Carnegie
Center/Main Museum. The exhibit will be
available through April 25, 2010.
The exhibit
was designed and built by Suzette Bromley –
Curator of Collections and Exhibits at the
Port Huron Museum. A committee from the Blue
Water Council of BSA, headed by Paul
Schwartz and Judy McCarthy, counseled on the
design and coordinated the collecting of
memorabilia from local Scouts of all ages.
Other
exhibit highlights include: Boy Scout
timeline, laser shooting gallery, campfire
circle, a handmade forest, animal tracking,
uniform & badge displays, and more.

for scheduled workshops as most fulfill
badge requirements for all levels of Boy
Scouts, and Girl Scouts alike. A special
Eagle Scout reunion is planned.
Museum hours
are 11-5 pm, 7 days a week, closed on
holidays. Extended hours are available for
events and private tours.
Admission: Adults $7; Seniors (60+) and
Students $5; Family (2 adults and up to 4
children residing at same address) $20.
Children (age 4 and under) are free. Museum
members are also at no charge, as per Port
Huron Museum membership privileges.
