Brownies
Around the World
Explore new worlds as you look at
different languages, play games from other countries, and find out what
it might be like to live somewhere else. Try your hand at creating a
food dish from another country.
Movers
Wind can help to move things around. It
helps planes fly through the air, dries our clothes out on the
clothesline, and can even be turned into energy. Enjoy fun activities
such as creating a pinwheel, a paper helicopter, and a ring glider.
Learn how we can use wind to create energy that we can use in our
everyday life.
Science in Action
Join in activities to help understand
about science all around us. This will include a science scavenger hunt,
making glop, creating chromatography art, and blowing up balloons
without using your breath.
Juniors
Art in 3D
Learn to translate your designs into three
dimensional arts. Activities will include clay, origami paper folding,
mobiles, wire sculptures, and ways to use recycled material.
Folk Arts
Girls will find inspiration from their own
experiences to create artworks in the folk art style. Create a
silhouette portrait, homemade paper, and a folk art toy. See old fashion
toys up close, as well as other collections from the past.
Toymaker
Toys are fun to make and play with. You
will learn about the history and safety of toys. Use your creativity and
build your own funny wiggle toy, a race car powered by rubber band,
mechanical doll, and free-fall parachute. You will test your creations
and take them home.
For more information on these Girl Scout
programs, including registration and payment instructions, please read
