Guidelines for Student Groups

• A group is defined as 20 or more people
   

Chaperones

• One adult chaperone for every 7 students required.

• A minimum of 2 chaperones are required for all student groups.

• Chaperones and students are to remain together throughout the tour.

• Large groups will be divided into smaller groups at museum sites.
   

Proper Museum Behavior

• Please do not touch the exhibits

• Please keep voices low so other visitors are not disturbed

• Absolutely no running in the museum

• No food, drink, eating of gift shop candy allowed in museum

• Outside eating areas are available (weather permitting)

• Inside eating area available on a very limited basis

Charter Groups

• A group is defined as 20 or more people

Tours are arranged seven days a week, 9 am - 4 pm, depending on the time of year. No restrooms available at the Huron Lightship Museum or Fort Gratiot Lighthouse. Public restrooms provided by the City of Port Huron are located near these sites. No sandals or open toed shoes allowed at the Fort Gratiot Lighthouse. In case of rain, please call the Main Museum at (810) 982-0891, to confirm your group attendance at sites.
